We're still a little bewildered that it's already November. When did THAT happen?!
It's become an annual tradition for us to celebrate and appreciate our clients every November. We are so honored to receive referrals throughout the year from our clients and friends. It is precisely those referrals that keep us in business! To show our gratitude, we are once again offering our clients a choice of pumpkin, apple or coconut custard pie. Just give us a call to reserve it and remember to pick it up on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving at our office.
We can't wait to see you and catch up for a few minutes! If you didn't receive your invite via email, just give us a call.
We are so thankful for YOU!

Do you know someone who is struggling?
Lots of people across the U.S. are struggling to stay in their homes. Most people in this situation are so fearful that they NEVER tell anyone they are in trouble. Instead, they just abandon their homes without looking back.
We all have a story. Sometimes bad things happen, but despair isn't the answer. Check out www.stopmdforeclosurenow.com. We're here to help people STAY in their homes.

Looking for a good deal?
We've had a number of people come in and tell us that they want to buy a foreclosure or a short sale property. When we dig down into what they really want however, what we find is that people are really just looking for the best deal they can get right now. But just because someone buys a foreclosure or short sale doesn't make it a great deal. And, just due to the state of the market right now, there are MANY great deals to be had out there that are not in a distressed state.
The very fact that there are short sales and foreclosures in our market means that EVERYTHING in the market is on sale. That's great news for buyers! Think of walking into Nordstrom and the WHOLE STORE IS ON SALE! That is the current state of the real estate market. Everything is on sale!
Seth recently received the CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert) designation. He has received extensive training in the area of short sales and foreclosures. If you are interested in learning more about them, just let us know!

Need a butcher? A baker? A candlestick maker?
Since we work by referral, we are wholehearted believers of giving referrals to businesses that we can put our name to. We get many calls every week from our clients asking for referrals for various tradespeople and services in the area.
One of the ways we want to help stimulate the economy and to serve our client database is to put together an online business directory. We are in the process of compiling the contact information for the best businesses we know.
We need your help to make it even better. Would you please call or email us with the best businesses that you know? We'd love to refer those businesses with whom you've had a great experience. It can be just about anything . . . a car detailer, pet sitter, electrician, travel agent, etc. If you've had great service, just tell us where! We'd love to help them make their businesses grow!

How does the Government Bail Out affect me?
The government is throwing money around everywhere, but the question everyone wants the answer to is "How does it affect ME?!"
Check out this website: www.makinghomeaffordable.com There is a simple self-assessment tool that will help you determine whether you may be eligible to refinance (sometimes even if you owe more than the home is worth) or to receive a loan modification from your current lender.
The government estimates that 7 to 9 million Americans will qualify for one of these two option in order to make staying in your current home the best option.

March Madness
I'll admit that I'm not a huge basketball fan. I think I'm actually still mourning the ending of football season to be honest!
With springtime upon us, we are entering into what is historically the busiest time of year for real estate transactions. Many people have asked us if this year has been different due to the current state of the economy. Our answer? We've seen a wonderful flurry of springtime activity! The spring so far has been true to form. We certainly attribute the activity to the hopes of warmer weather ahead and also to the recent changes made by Congress.
There are literally at least 8,000 reasons to be a first time homebuyer today! The $8,000 tax credit has been a huge incentive for many first time homebuyers (FTHBs) who have been sitting on the fence. The emergence of these FTHBs into the market has definitely been invigorating the local market.
If you know someone that should be thinking about buying a home, make sure they are aware of the tax credit! With a few more referrals to some FTHBs, we are hoping to create some March Madness of our own!
